Things have been quiet on the holistic reporting blog for the last couple of weeks. But there’s a good reason why. It’s easy to forget that the GRI is not the only game in town when it comes to CSR/ESG behaviour/performance indicator sets. Other well-established indicator sets include the DVFA ESG KPIs (Germany/EU) and the DEFRA Sustainable Development Indicators (UK) which were recently updated in July 2010. As a combination, these three indicator sets alone represent a significant body of knowledge for businesses to tap into to develop their own custom indicator set for holistic reporting.

There’s been a bizarre new development over at the GRI. It potentially impacts anyone using software that in some way  incorporates the use of the GRI’s content.
